An introduction to some of the treatment approaches used at Pain Busters Clinic, eg  myotherapy, and nutritional supplementation.

Healing is the process where the cells in the body regenerate and repair to reduce the size of a damaged or necrotic area. It is also used more holistically, as the curing of a sickness by a healer practicing faith healing, or other type of healing.

Massage Therapy involves applying pressure or vibration to the soft tissues of the body, including muscles, connective tissue, tendons, ligaments, and joints. A massage therapy treatment is applied to a part of the body, or successively to the whole body; objectives may be to relieve psychological stress, heal injury, manage pain, improve circulation and relieve tension.

Massage Therapy for Health  Yes, massage feels good. But, more importantly, massage helps maintain and promote good health. Three of the primary health benefits of massage are improved circulation, reduced muscle tension, and relief from the effects of stress.

Chi machines are helping people around the globe gain  relaxation and drug-free relief from their back and neck pain.  An Australian version, the Zen Chi Massager has been bringing relaxation and relief from aches and pains for several thousand Australians since it first went on sale. Now more than thousands of these massagers are being eagerly used by beauty therapists, massage therapists, and other health practitioners. 

Magnets Can magnets actually help us feel better? When I first read about this theory I was somewhat skeptical but curious. After looking into it further and trying out a few magnetic products, I was pleasantly surprised. Let me tell you a few things I found out.

Aches Pains & Injuries
Being a Personal Fitness Professional, I hear from many people who are suffering from various aches and pains, and unfortunately are misinformed. One thing I am constantly hearing from people is "I've got a bad back," or "just my old tennis elbow acting up". This frustrates me because these people are misled and are often suffering unnecessarily

Exercise without supplementation is suicide! 
Everyone knows the medical dogma that "exercise is good for you." Now as Paul Harvey says, "You are going to hear the rest of the story!" Exercise without complete and optimal supplementation is self destructive and suicidal! 

Glucosamine  After doing some triceps elbow extensions and numerous other elbow extension exercises, I began to feel effects of what is known as elbow tendonitis. The symptoms generally included a pain with any movement of my elbows. So much so, that even resting my arms on a chair began to have an associated soreness to the touch.

Emotional Freedom Technique  In 2005 I decided to take a look at Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) after seeing a write-up In Dr Mercola’s newsletter.  On visiting the official EFT website, I read about all the miraculous results practitioners from around the world were supposedly achieving with everything from minor trauma right up to serious diseases. I thought this really sounded like snake oil sales; how could one technique possibly achieve so much? I decided to look further into this “miracle” technique...
