Zen Chi machine FAQalso see: Chi Machine, Zen Chi Machine Q: How often can I use my Chi machine?A: The recommended use is up to three times a day, at 15 minutes each time. I have known of a person using it up to six times a day, without any ill effect but I would not recommend it. Q: What would happen if I used the Chi machine for longer than 15 min?A: Having been asked this question many times I decided to find out for myself so I used it for 30 minutes and got a stitch in my side for my troubles. Nothing serious just a little overworked muscle soreness. Q: Does the Chi machine really exercise your body?A: This is another of those questions I keep getting asked, so I decided to devise a test that would settle it once and for all. Being a type 2 diabetic myself I know that exercise burns up blood glucose, so I took a blood glucose reading with my glucometer, then spent 15 minutes on the Zen Chi machine taking another reading immediately after, and what do you know! - the reading was lower immediately after than when I started. That meant I had used up some of my blood glucose while the Zen Chi machine did all the work - that really appealed to my lazy side. Next I did a 15 minute brisk walk and that used up about the same amount of glucose. It seems that the Zen Chi machine exercises the muscles about as much as walking does. To verify my results I asked a friend ( also a diabetic) to do the same test. He got the same result but with an even bigger drop in his glucose levels, presumably because they were higher when he started. The good news for me is that, any time my blood glucose is too high, now I can lower it on the Zen Chi machine without having to go out for a walk, and that's really great in the winter. So the answer to the question is YES! The Zen Chi machine does exercise your body. Q: What is the difference between the Zen Chi machine and the Sun Ancon Chi Machine?A: The main difference is price. With the Zen Chi machine being only $247.00 freight included, and the Sun Ancon Chi Machine being $693.00 plus pack & post. That makes it considerably dearer. Having examined the internal drive system of both machines, I found very little difference. they both use a cam drive to change the circular motion of the motor into a horizontal side to side movement. I measured the sideways displacement, and the height and speed, and there was virtually no difference. Personally I cannot see why the Sun Ancon Chi machine costs so much. It is for this very reason that I have never sought to sell the Sun Ancon Chi Machine, rather contenting myself with the lower priced Zen Chi machine, where I feel that the user has value for money. When buying anything on line I always look to see if the seller has enough confidence in their product to offer a money back guarantee, and if it is being sold through a secure third party payment processor such as Pay-Pal with their third party assurance that you will not be ripped off. It's these checks and balances that makes buying on line as safe as buying from your corner store. Q: How soon will I receive my Zen Chi machine?A: We will dispatch your order within 24 hours of receipt, and it will typically take Australia post anywhere from 2 days to a week to deliver, depending on where you are. If your Zen Chi machine has not turned up fourteen days after you ordered, please let us know and we will have it traced, as it will probably be sitting in a post office somewhere, this is a rare occurrence, but it can happen. Take comfort that we have never lost an order in transit. Q: I'm in the USA can I buy a Zen Chi machine here?A: No, the Zen Chi Machine is not available in the USA - its wired for Australia, and has the wrong voltage and frequency to run correctly on US electrical systems. However, we've identified an excellent US chi machine that we can recommend as an alternative to the Zen Chi Machine: recommended Chi machine for the USA
